Developer SunCap Property Group Selects EDIFICE as Construction Partner on New Distribution Facility
Durham, N.C. – SunCap Property Group has chosen Edifice, Inc. as their construction partner on a new distribution facility in Durham, North Carolina. The 237,000-square foot facility is to be occupied by FedEx Ground. The facility will house package distribution, warehouse space, offices, control rooms and maintenance areas. The new building will be constructed utilizing Tilt-Up concrete panels. Tilt-Up typically allows for a more cost effective, shorter duration project, as well as durability with lower maintenance costs for the end user. According to Tilt-Up Concrete Association, at least 10,000 buildings enclosing more than 650 million square feet are constructed annually.
Prior to starting new construction on the 44-acre site, an existing 410,000-square foot manufacturing facility will be demolished.

The project is underway with an anticipated complete date of March 2017.
