Matthews, N.C. – “From the time of this groundbreaking and throughout the building phase, we ask that You keep the builders, architects, our school community, and visitors safe.  And, may the Light of Your Word continue to guide our school as it has in the past, both today and tomorrow.”  Head of School Mark Davis made that prayer of petition at the recent ceremony to kick-off Covenant Day School’s new building program, attended by well over 1,000 students, school administrators, teachers, parents, and local officials.

The building program will include a new 57,000 square foot 450+ student high school and a 2,300 square foot fitness cener.  This will allow the middle school to relocate into the current high school building. Improvements will also be made to the lower school dining facility and assembly room.

Bryan Knupp, senior vice president of Edifice commented “Covenant Day School is recognized for carrying this passion into the classroom where Christian-based education drives their students toward excellence with a biblical worldview.  It is an honor for Edifice to partner with them in the growth of their ministries.”

Edifice is pleased to be providing both pre-construction and construction services for this new school. This project fits well into our portfolio of educational and faith-based projects where we are industry leaders in both markets having completed more than 100-faith based projects and over five (5) million square feet of educational space.

Little Diversified Architectural Consulting is providing the architectural design services.
