Immaculate Heart of Mary Life & Education Center Receives LEED Certification
High Point, N.C. – We are pleased to announce Immaculate Heart of Mary’s new Life and Education Center has received its LEED Certification (BD+C). This is the first LEED certified green school for the local Diocese. This school sits on a sustainable site, has water efficient landscaping and a water use reduction plan. Other features include the use of low emitting materials, daylighting, thermal comfort design and an optimized energy performance system.
Edifice completed construction on the new 72,000sf school last year which includes classrooms, a high-tech media center, offices, large kitchen, library, and space for teaching the arts and music. Amenities include a large fellowship hall providing space for up to three events simultaneously, athletic facilities include a gymnasium, and outdoor sports fields.
