The construction progress on-site for the month of December consisted of laborious site work and preparation for the erection to begin on the 1616 Center. Greenway Waste Disposal and Moore & Seagle were selected to perform the site remediation, and spent most of December scooping mud and removing unsuitable soils.
A building’s foundation requires the consideration of many factors such as the water tables, soil conditions, the quality of the back fill, etc. Using the site’s unique characteristics and the intended building’s design, a foundation was engineered specifically for the 1616 Center. In mid-December we began the foundations with Tarheel Foundation Solutions installing helical piers and Camps Construction pouring cast in place foundation walls.
Also the site office was delivered and set up allowing the weekly owner meetings to now be held onsite.
