EDIFICE Expands Charleston Office Leadership
EDIFICE, LLC, a privately-held regional general contracting firm, has expanded leadership in its Charleston, S.C. office as it builds on years of growth in the market.
Josh Spencer has been named regional vice president. Spencer will lead the sales and pre-construction efforts. A graduate of the College of Charleston, Spencer was previously a senior pre-construction manager.
Keith Lovas has been named regional construction manager. Lovas holds a civil engineering degree from Villanova University.
In addition, Will Cannon has joined as business developer in Charleston. Cannon will drive awareness of the Edifice services and cultivate relationships with potential clients.
These promotions are newly created positions coming two years after Edifice opened a Charleston office to build upon nearly two decades of work in the region.
“We are going to do exceptionally well in the Charleston market and have been fortunate to win business with multiple customers in the public and private sector,” said Edifice CEO Gary W. Creed.
“Josh is instantly likable, very sharp and a southern gentleman who is exceptionally good at the pre-construction process, and he will lead our growth as regional vice president,” Creed said.
“As regional construction manager, Keith has a highly coveted position within Edifice. We emphasize performance at the highest level of operations, and Keith will lead our operations staff to ensure we meet our customers’, subcontractors’ and our own high expectations.”
Eric Laster, Edifice’s chairman of the board, moved to Charleston two years ago to open and grow the office. Laster expects to double the office in size this year.
“I am confident that if Edifice continues to do the things we do well for clients, there is abundant opportunity in Charleston to grow,” said Laster.
Among Edifice’s Charleston projects are 1.5 million square feet of distribution space at Coastal Crossroads, a joint venture development by CitiMark and Pure Development, a municipal operations facility for the City of Charleston, and a library for Dorchester County.
