Supporting Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation
What an honor to support the outstanding men and women of the CMPD as a silver sponsor at their 9th annual Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation luncheon.
The Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides critical resources and vital support to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. From essential equipment and state-of-the-art technology to specialized and innovative programs, the Foundation support is intended to supplement and enhance existing resources available to the Department. Past initiatives for the Foundation include funding body cameras, training simulators, and DNA equipment for crime labs, just to name a few.
This year’s luncheon honored officers with Community Engagement Awards and was highlighted by keynote speaker Captain Sully Sullenberger. Named one of 2009’s 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine, Captain Sullenberger is an international hero, propelled into the spotlight after safely guiding a US Airways jetliner to an emergency landing on the icy Hudson River.
