UNC Charlotte’s University Recreation Center | July 2018
During the month of July, construction at the UNC Charlotte University Recreation Center Project has continued to move forward. Post-tensioned concrete slab work is completed. Structural steel work at the knuckle area continues as well as steel erection in the Gym box. The construction of the structural roof trusses has begun and the truss erection is scheduled for mid-August. Exterior framing, sheathing, interior framing, and overhead rough-in work continues. Roofing at the head house has started, and brick veneer will begin by mid-August. The exterior site utility yard concrete walls are complete, and the boiler and chiller replacements continue at the RUP 3 building.
