The RailYard is Underway in Charlotte’s South End

Beacon Partners has teamed with Edifice and RBA Group for the design and construction services for its RailYard project located at 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte. The project consists of two eight-story towers with horizontal connectivity on four levels totaling 334,000sf.

Located in South End, the buildings will contain largely Class A creative office space, along with ground-level retail shops and restaurants. Predominantly exposed steel, brick and glass the RailYard harkens the early industrial feel of Charlotte’s South End. Outdoor courtyards, balconies, and well planned green space compliment the design while encouraging interaction in a warm and creative setting. Additionally, a 1,000 car, 287,000sf precast parking deck, will serve the needs of the RailYard customers, tenants, and future residents.

The ground floor retail will consist of four restaurant spaces, all with outdoor dining.  The Yard will also be connected to an indoor area, Central Station, via a 40-foot side, roll-up door that provides almost half an acre of furnished gathering space including a coffee shop and cafe.

Other amenities at the RailYard include six elevators, a 100-plus bike lockers, a 2,500-square foot fitness center with locker rooms, six rooftop terraces and a designated Uber and Lyft drop off area in the back of the property.

A future residential phase is planned to consist of four stories of unique, studio, loft-style micro-residential units.
