EDIFICE Announces Initiative Focused on Lifting Up Those in Need

For more than 43 years, Edifice has been committed to making a difference in the places where we work and live. With core values that revolve around our clients, business partners, employees, and our community, we recognize there may never be a more critical time than now to focus our attention on those in need.

With that in mind, we are pleased to announce EDIFICE ELEVATES, our new philanthropic outreach program centered around the Heart and Kindness of Construction with the goal of LIFTING UP organizations and non-profits that need our support. In addition to providing financial assistance, it is our desire to be the hands and feet in our local communities to impact and empower people.

EDIFICE ELEVATES kicked off this campaign with two important events:

YMCA – Pledge 2 Plunge at Gastonia YMCA at Robinwood Lake – Teaching kids water safety is the number one way to prevent drowning. The Pledge 2 Plunge initiative provides the resources to children for swim lessons (for those who cannot afford it), summer camp and after-school subsidization, and cancer wellness programs for cancer survivors. Edifice employees took the big plunge into the cold Robinwood Lake on April 24th and raised funds for this worthwhile initiative. www.gastonymca.org/pledge-2-plunge/

Freedom Communities – The mission of this initiative is to transform the Freedom Drive Corridor into a connected, collaborative community that works together to meet the holistic needs of all its residents. Freedom Communities recently purchased property that needs upfitting to offer 75 more preschool spots by the Summer of 2021. On April 24th a team of Edifice employees came together to make significant improvements and repairs to the buildings and property. www.freedomcommunities.com
