Feeding Charlotte through CANstuction
This year marked the largest turnout for AIA Charlotte’s #CANstruction event. With 15 teams participating, the competition was tough! Partnering with LITTLE our team worked together over the last 10 weeks to bring you the widely known, Homer Simpson eating his favorite doughnut covered in strawberry frosting and sprinkles. Our biggest challenge… where do we find a pink labeled can? Thanks to Annie’s Homegrown Organic All Stars™ Pasta, Homer’s doughnut was properly conveyed and our team was awarded Best Original Design!
The competition as a whole weighed in at 33,864 pounds of food!!! And that is the best award… knowing we helped Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina provide roughly 28,220 individual meals for our neighbors!
