Lil’ Tykes Christmas Party: A Grinchmas Celebration
On Saturday, December 7th, Edifice families gathered for our annual Lil’ Tykes Christmas Party at the Barn at Marvin Efird Park in Marvin, NC. This year’s event, with a festive Grinchmas theme, was a joyful celebration of the holiday season—a special morning dedicated to the families who make Edifice such a wonderful place to work.
A Different Theme Every Year: This Year’s Grinchmas
Every year, we choose a new and exciting theme for the Lil’ Tykes Christmas Party, and this year, we embraced Grinchmas! The day was filled with Grinch-inspired fun—from crafts to treats, everything was designed to spread holiday cheer and create lasting memories for our Edifice families.
A Fun-Filled Morning for Edifice Families
The event kicked off with a delicious breakfast, followed by exciting activities for the kids. One of the highlights of the morning was the Polar Express train ride around the park. Families hopped on board for a festive ride, and Tod Creech, our CFO, was on hand to punch tickets as part of the fun, making it feel like a special Christmas adventure.
In addition to the train ride, the kids enjoyed a variety of creative Grinch-themed crafts:
- Grinch Handprint Craft: The little ones made adorable Grinch handprint crafts, which they took home as keepsakes from the day.
- Grinch Headbands: Older children designed their own Grinch-themed headbands, adding a festive touch to their outfits.
- DIY Grinch Ornaments: At the ornament station, kids decorated their own Grinch ornaments—perfect for hanging on their Christmas trees.
These crafts were a fun way for the kids to engage in the holiday spirit while creating something they could cherish.
A Special Visit from Santa Claus
A highlight of the day was, of course, the visit from Santa Claus! The kids eagerly lined up to meet Santa, share their holiday wish lists, and take photos with him. These moments are a treasured part of the event, creating memories that families will hold dear for years to come.
Sweet Treats and Holiday Cheer
What’s a Christmas celebration without delicious treats? From hot chocolate and s’mores to a cookie decorating station, every bite was a sweet reminder of the magic of the season. The kids had a blast crafting their cookies and enjoying all the holiday-themed snacks.
A Grinchy Keepsake
To cap off the celebration, each child received a special Grinch bell to take home— a keepsake from the day’s festivities to remind them of the fun and joy shared with their Edifice family.
