The Community Recreation Center consists of two separate buildings totaling 42,338sf sitting on a 5-acre site. The community center includes basketball courts, an indoor track, multi-purpose rooms, a kitchen, fitness rooms, and community spaces. The site work will include parking, walkways, and outdoor gathering spaces.
The new community center will provide a multitude of athletic and general recreation programs and will be the first recreation community center for the citizens of Belmont. It is anticipated that the center will evolve into an intergenerational, social, and recreational hub for the community and the surrounding area. The facility was designed for the entire community to utilize but was also specifically set up to host basketball and volleyball tournaments. There are three basketball courts, two competition courts and then a championship court. The championship court is set up with bleachers and additional features.
