St. Joseph College Seminary, built for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte, contains 28,657 square feet of striking Christian pointed architecture located in Mount Holly, North Carolina.
The two-story building includes living-and-learning space consisting of an interim Chapel, classroom, library, kitchen and refectory (cafeteria), faculty offices, and a guest room for speakers and visiting priests. The building includes 40-dorm rooms housing young men who are exploring a vocation to the Catholic priesthood while also pursuing undergraduate degrees at nearby Belmont Abbey College.
The seminary is secluded off the road surrounded by plenty of foliage and planned for multiple gardens, courtyards and a pond that provides peaceful serenity and quiet areas to study.
Designed with an expansion in mind, the next phase will consist of additional seminarian dormitories and a larger, permanent Chapel.
The Diocese of Charlotte considers Edifice a valuable strategic partner and looks forward to working with them for years to come!
