Santa Comes to Edifice’s Winter Wonderland

Last Saturday, we enjoyed seeing all the smiling faces of the Edifice Lil’ Tykes as we hosted our annual breakfast with Santa event at Marvin Efrid Park in Waxhaw, NC. While Santa didn’t bring a smile to all of the kids faces, a dance in the snow or a ride on Little Blue Choo sure made up for it! We had delicious treats to eat including s’mores, hot chocolate, gingerbread cookies, chicken & waffles, and breakfast sandwiches. Other fun activities for the kids included ornament crafts, coloring, a candy cane scavenger hunt, hugs from Olaf, and a station to make Reindeer Food for Christmas Eve night. The theme this year was Winter Wonderland and the book, Walking in a Winter Wonderland, based on the song by Felix  and Richard B. Smith was gifted to each family. Santa also brought a special gift with him and he gave each child a tiny snow globe as a keepsake. We had a great turn out despite the light rain and the World Cup game with over 160 people in attendance. Before Santa headed back to the North Pole, he read the children a story, The Night Before Christmas. Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope to see you next year!
