Supporting Local Charter School KIPP Charlotte
Through our #40UP program, Edifice is pleased to support KIPP Charlotte. KIPP Charlotte is a free, open-enrollment, college preparatory public school currently serving over 700 students in Kindergarten, 1st grade, and grades 4 through 8. KIPP Charlotte serves communities that are traditionally underserved and marginalized in education.
As a public charter school, the state and county only fund 80% of the student expenses. That’s where companies like ours come in play.
Our “Classroom Sponsorship” helps to fund college field trips for 60 eight graders. In addition to financial support, we were able to offer our construction expertise and recently provide the school with a new gym floor.
