ABOUT
Edifice was selected to provide construction services for the 99,977 square-foot addition to an existing multipurpose building on campus that serves both Carmel Baptist Church and Carmel Christian School. This two-story addition fits like a glove into the multi-angled existing structure and offers a contemporary change to the existing architecture. This project was challenging with eight (8) different occupied floor levels, 19 roof areas, 47 different corners of the exterior perimeter and a high ratio of exterior skin to floor area. The interior offers a variety of spaces including a 450+ seat auditorium, student community space, flexible classrooms, six (6) science labs, administration, and a 1000 seat gymnasium. The combination of exterior finishes include zinc metal panels, masonry, EIFS, and generous glass surfaces. Interior finishes are also abundant including polished concrete, maple wood flooring, laminate wall panels, tin ceilings, stick wood wall treatments, K-13 acoustical spray, and three (3) Skyfold partitions.

ARCHITECT
“The Edifice team did an outstanding job completing the project UNDER budget and AHEAD of schedule. During pre-construction services, Edifice staff provided helpful evaluations of cost. With early subcontractor input and Edifice’s knowledge of current market pricing and materials, ADW and Carmel could determine what materials best suited their budget without compromising the design. Edifice maintains a great relationship with the local subcontractor community, receiving superior pricing during each phase of design.” – Kevin Ranze, Project Manager, ADW Architects
