Cross Christ Community ChurchThe last thirty days we addressed the final exterior and interior details and worked hard to ensure we left the church with a community life center that we both are proud of.

On the exterior, one of the focus areas, was the new walkway connecting the Sanctuary to the rest of the campus.  When school let out for the summer, the last of the sidewalks were removed and re-poured. Once those were completed, we installed brick pavers creating a large cross outside the front doors. The cross is truly the focal point of the entire courtyard bringing together the surrounding buildings. The handrails were installed and all the landscaping provided the finishing touches to the exterior.

The interior of the building finished with a flurry once the A/V system was installed early July. After this, we installed the flooring and the large operable walls in the Fellowship Hall. These walls are 16’ tall and weighed several hundred pounds each, so getting them installed was not easy. Once everything was in place the clean-up crew went into action. The church planned its open house on August 21st and there was some concern with the flooring being completed in time to get a TCO. Thanks to the efforts of Al Barr and Andy Simonds, the TCO was in place three days early and the open house was a big hit.
