St. Joseph College Seminary

Mount Holly, North Carolina

Estimated Completion: March 2020

About the Project

The first phase of construction consists of a 28,000 square-foot, two-story building including; 40 seminarian dormitories, a refectory and kitchen, a conference room, classrooms, administrative offices, faculty rooms, guest rooms, a cloister walk and a temporary chapel.

Designed with an expansion in mind, phase II consists of additional seminarian dormitories and a larger, permanent chapel. The final design intentionally has the seminary organized into three different wings; residential, academic, and administration. The seminary is surrounded by plenty of foliage along with multiple gardens, courtyards and a pond that will provide peaceful serenity and quiet areas to study.  There will also be two playing fields for recreation.
