The Square at South End is a 10-story mixed-use development located on the corner of SouthTryon Street and West Boulevard on a 1.7-acre site. The project consists of 150,000sf of office space. Each of the 10 floors will be between 15,000 and 17,000sf and includes outdoor decks on multiple floors. The first floor will contain 10,000sf of retail plus a large outdoor plaza. The plaza connects West Boulevard to Wilmore Centennial Park. The Square includes exposed brick, steel beams, and glass. The building includes a two-story fitness center with a mezzanine fronting the park, an outdoor wellness area for group classes. Apartments will also be in a separate building and will wrap the project’s parking deck.
Edifice also worked with Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation competing Wilmore Centennial Park, a 1.5-acre park that serves as a plaza at the front of the buildings.
